Herding Camp Part II

August 26, 2010Karo No Comments »

Second herding camp for this summer is over and what a feeling, what a feeeeeeling! My old lady Lara and miss teenage Neve are looking like a real shepherds! ❤

We trained in a fence and in the forest. In the forest they were both at the same time and there to help us was Goatmoon’s border collie Weedy. In woods Lara worked more like gathering and grouping/regrouping the stock and Neve focused on driving and in situation that needed more pressure to the stock. In a fence we trained a lot driving, how to read dogs and sheep and also did drive the stock to a cage. I think videos will tell you more than my thousand words. Feeling was indescribable after working – so BIG thanks to all those who involved in the camp and to the Goatmoon’s folks!
